Microgreens are young, tender greens harvested shortly after they grow their first true leaves. Think of them as the early stage of familiar plants like peas, radish, and broccoli. Small in size, but full of presence on the plate.

They are picked when their flavor is bright and concentrated, which is why you see them on everything from simple eggs and toast to full restaurant plates. You do not need any special skills to enjoy them. Open the container, give them a gentle fluff, and add them to whatever you are already eating.

At KIJANIPRINT MICROFARM, we currently offer three core varieties:

  • Pea shoots

  • Radish microgreens

  • Broccoli microgreens

Each one has its own personality and pairs well with certain foods.

Broccoli Microgreens

Clean, mild, and versatile

Broccoli microgreens carry the same familiar taste as full grown broccoli, just in a softer, greener form. They have a clean, green flavor that fits into almost any dish without taking over. They are an easy choice for families, kids, or anyone trying microgreens for the first time.

How broccoli pairs well

  • Sprinkled over soups and stews right before serving

  • Added to pasta dishes after cooking

  • Mixed into simple side salads

  • As a topping for baked potatoes with a bit of butter or sour cream

Broccoli microgreens are the steady, everyday option. They quietly blend in and support whatever is already on the plate.

Radish Microgreens

Peppery, bold, and lively

Radish microgreens bring a gentle heat and a little attitude. They taste like a fresh radish in a smaller, more delicate form. If you like a bit of a kick, this is the one.

How radish pairs well

  • On tacos and quesadillas

  • Over roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables, or grilled meats

  • With avocado toast or hummus toast

  • Mixed into slaws or cabbage salads for extra bite

Radish microgreens are perfect when you want to wake a dish up without reaching for hot sauce.

Pea Shoots

Bright, crisp, naturally sweet

Pea shoots are the easiest entry point for anyone new to microgreens. They are tender and crisp, with a light sweetness that feels familiar, like fresh peas snapped right out of the pod.

How pea shoots pair well

  • On top of salads for an easy crunch

  • With eggs, whether scrambled, fried, or in omelets

  • Tucked into sandwiches, wraps, and burgers

  • Added to grain bowls with rice, quinoa, or farro

  • As a quick snack straight from the container

Pea shoots work anywhere you want a gentle, refreshing lift without changing the flavor of the whole dish.

Microgreens do not have to be complicated.

  • Pea shoots bring brightness and a gentle sweetness.

  • Radish brings a little heat and energy.

  • Broccoli brings a calm, familiar flavor that fits anywhere.

Start with something simple like microgreen toast, then begin adding them to the meals you already make. Salads, bowls, tacos, and plates you feel comfortable with all welcome a handful of greens on top.
